Julia Lever

Julia Lever studies political science at Columbia University, plans to attend law school, and pursue a public policy career. In Madison, Mississippi, Julia founded Young Women’s Leadership, a club dedicated to empowering young women. She is the founder of Project Pink, which seeks to address the need for free feminine products for young girls and women in underserved communities. Her research into the stigma of period poverty led to her co-authoring “American Period Poverty: Highlighting Inequity at Home”. Julia’s latest endeavor, Planet Pink, addresses the need for access to feminine products in Palestinian and Israeli communities.
