Zaki Shamsi
Zaki Shamsi is a high school senior at Choate Rosemary Hall and a member of the school’s John F. Kennedy ’35 Program in Government and Public Service. He has worked as a legislative intern for a Member of Congress and served as a State Senate intern, authoring a bill modeled on international human rights law. Zaki is the co-captain of his school’s debate team, vice president of the Choate Young Democrats, president of the Muslim Student Association, and editor of The Choate News’ Opinions Nation/World section, where he leads discussions on international relations and global policy. A student of Arabic for four years and a multi-time Arabic poetry competition winner, Zaki is driven by a passion for storytelling, diplomacy, and building a more just, human-centered world.
